Privacy notice

Last updated · June 2026

This notice explains how Redfern & Gold collects, uses and protects personal data. We keep it plain, because a privacy notice no one can read protects no one.

Template notice. This document is a working draft prepared to match the site. Before publishing, have it reviewed against your live data practices and your ICO registration. It is not legal advice.

01Who we are

Redfern & Gold is a trading brand of Ashcroft Automations Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17221216), with its registered presence in West Sussex, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Ashcroft Automations Ltd is the data controller.

Our ICO registration reference is [insert ICO reference]. You can reach our data contact at privacy@redfernandgold.com.

02What we collect

We collect only what we need to assess a practice and respond to an enquiry:

We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you do not send patient information to us at any point.

03Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We process personal data on two bases. Where you contact us or become a client, we process data to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you. Where we assess a practice before any contact, we rely on legitimate interests: presenting a relevant, evidenced operations review to the business owner responsible for it. We have assessed this balance and recorded it. You may object at any time.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as email, hosting and scheduling tools, each bound to process data on our instruction. Where a provider is outside the UK, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place.

05How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from last contact unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Review data on practices we never engage is removed on request or within 12 months.

06Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these, email privacy@redfernandgold.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would ask that you raise it with us first so we can put it right.

07Changes

We update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top reflects the current version.
